After 14 years on the corporate fast track, Alicia decided to make a bold change in 2004. Leaving behind a successful management career in the environmental and construction industries, she pursued her passion for real estate. Combining her education, business expertise, and entrepreneurial spirit, Alicia founded Ralston Group Properties—a sustainable, high-integrity real estate brokerage in Idaho, known for earning the trust and respect of its clients. Alicia’s business thrives on referrals, a testament to the loyalty and confidence of Ralston Group clients.
A graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in Marketing and Communications, Alicia was not only an academic standout but also a student-athlete who earned a full-ride scholarship. After graduation, she was recruited by Fluor Corporation, one of the world’s leading engineering and construction firms. At Fluor, Alicia worked on some of the most complex and high-budget environmental restoration projects in the U.S., gaining invaluable experience in strategic planning, project management, business administration, finance, marketing, and communications—skills that would later form the foundation for her real estate business.
Alicia was later recruited by Boise-based Morrison Knudsen (now Washington Group International), where she played a pivotal role in growing the environmental business to more than $500M annually. She also led several strategic growth initiatives, further refining her leadership and business development skills.
Transitioning to real estate in Boise, Alicia quickly became known for her integrity, strong listening skills, astute negotiation abilities, and deep understanding of real estate finance and transactions. In 2009, she obtained her Idaho Broker’s license and founded Ralston Group Properties after designing a comprehensive business plan and remodeling her office to earn LEED Certification. Her brokerage is located in the iconic Veltex Building in downtown Boise.
Alicia is deeply committed to her community, both personally and professionally. She has supported numerous organizations, including Idaho’s Big Brothers Big Sisters program, the U.S. Green Building Council, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (where she was the 2012 St. Jude’s Home Give-Away Realtor), and local entities that provide food and shelter to those in need. She is also an advocate for local small businesses and downtown Boise development.
Alicia and her husband, David, have lived in the Boise valley for many years. They embrace Idaho’s “work hard, play hard” lifestyle, enjoying time with family and friends, and spending time outdoors fly fishing, golfing, hiking, and skiing. Their son, Chris, resides in Austin with his wife, Kristin, their grandson, Reilly, and granddog, Shug. Chris has a thriving career in design.
